Everything you need to know about VTuber Nook

How the Site Works

5 questions

VTuber Nook is a curated directory of free resources made for VTubers β€” things like overlays, alert sounds, emotes, PNGtuber assets, stream graphics, and more. Everything listed here is free to use, submitted by creators in the community.

Yes, completely. You never need to pay to browse or access resources listed here. Individual resources may have their own usage terms set by the creator (such as credit requirements), but the site itself is always free.

You can browse the main page and filter by category, or use the search bar to look for something specific. You can also visit the Artists page to browse by creator and see everything a particular artist has shared.

Likes are a way to show appreciation for a resource. They help surface popular content and contribute to creator badges on the Artists page. You need to be logged in to like a resource.

Every Monday, one creator is automatically highlighted on the Artists page. The rotation is deterministic β€” each creator gets a fair turn over time, and the spotlight only changes on Mondays.

Submitting Resources

6 questions

Anyone can submit resources β€” no account required! You can submit your own work or submit resources made by others (as long as they are free and publicly available). If you're submitting someone else's work, make sure to credit them properly in the creator field.

Any free-to-use digital resource relevant to VTubing β€” overlays, stream alerts, emotes, PNGtuber assets, BGM, sound effects, stream decks, transition animations, and similar. Paid or paywalled resources are not eligible.

Make sure the resource is genuinely free and publicly accessible via the URL you provide. Fill in an accurate title, category, and description. Resources that are behind a paywall, require a purchase, or link to broken pages will be rejected.

Most submissions are reviewed within a few days. If you submitted with an account, you can track the status of your submissions from your profile page β€” you'll see whether each submission is pending, approved, or rejected.

If you submitted with an account, rejection reasons are shown on your profile page under the Rejected tab. Common reasons include broken links, paid-only content, or missing information. Fix the issue and submit again β€” rejected submissions do not count against you.

Yes. If you've found a great free resource from another creator, you're welcome to submit it. Just make sure the creator field accurately reflects who made it, and that the resource is genuinely free and publicly available.

Creator Accounts & Profiles

5 questions

Sign in with your Discord or Twitch account β€” no separate password needed. Your account is created automatically on your first login.

You can set your display name from your profile page. This is the name shown on resource cards and on the Artists page. It defaults to your OAuth username if not set.

You'll automatically appear on the Artists page once at least one of your submitted resources has been approved and your account is linked to that resource. Make sure you're logged in when submitting your own work.

Badges are awarded automatically based on your activity. 'Top Creator' goes to creators in the top 20% by combined likes and resource count. 'Most Liked' goes to the creator with the highest total likes. 'New This Week' is shown if you've added resources in the past 7 days.

Avatars are pulled from your Discord or Twitch profile at login. If your avatar is missing, try signing out and signing back in β€” this refreshes your avatar from your OAuth provider.

Reporting & Moderation

4 questions

Open any resource card and click the report button inside the resource modal. You'll be prompted to select a reason and optionally add a note. You must be logged in to submit a report.

Report resources that are no longer free, have a broken or redirecting link, contain incorrect information, or violate the creator's original terms of use. Please don't use reporting to flag resources you personally dislike.

Reports are reviewed by moderators. If the report is valid, the resource will be updated or removed. You won't receive a direct notification, but the resource will be taken down if the report is upheld.

Yes. Accounts that submit spam, repeatedly submit invalid resources, abuse the report system, or otherwise violate community guidelines may be blocked. Blocked accounts cannot submit resources or interact with the site.

Supporting VTuber Nook

5 questions

VTuber Nook is a passion project run by a small team. There are real costs involved β€” hosting, domains, and ongoing development. The site will always be free to use, but any support helps keep it running and improving.

You can buy us a coffee on Ko-fi at ko-fi.com/akarikouu! Even a small one-time donation goes a long way. There's no pressure at all β€” just knowing people enjoy the site is already incredibly motivating.

Absolutely! Some of the most helpful things you can do are completely free: share VTuber Nook on Twitter, TikTok, or in VTuber communities you're part of; submit resources to grow the directory; join the Discord and help spread the word. Every bit helps more than you'd think.

Yes, genuinely! Word of mouth is how most people discover the site. Sharing a resource you found useful, tagging @vtubernook on Twitter, or mentioning the site in a Discord server directly brings in new creators and users. It costs nothing and makes a real difference.

Join our Discord at vtuber-nook.com/discord! It's a great place to suggest resources, give feedback, chat with other VTubers, and stay up to date with new features and announcements.
